Understand Your Genome think BIG
You're invited to discover the power of your whole genome
Arquimed and Illumina are partnering together to bring Understand Your Genome® (UYG) to Latin America in January 2018.

UYG is a unique and exciting opportunity that allows you to unlock the power of your genome and connect with other like-minded individuals at the forefront of genomic sequencing.

As a participant, you will experience a highly personal and richly educational program. After having your genome sequenced, you will receive your individual whole-genome in the MyGenome web application, in addition to a clinical report with interpretation for variants across more than 1,200 medical conditions and responses to 16 different drugs. And on a much larger scale, you will be part of a revolutionary movement that is pioneering the application of genomics-based healthcare into mainstream clinical practice.

To move forward with plans for UYG Latin America, we would like to assess your interest in attending. Please CLICK HERE to complete a short survey (1-2 minutes). Please respond no later than May 31, 2017 if you are interested in attending.

Thank you and we hope to see you in Chile!

Sincerely,
The UYG Team
Learn
  • The process of consenting, consulting, clinical whole-genome sequencing, and interpretation applied to more than 1,200 conditions and response to 16 different drugs using your own genome as a learning aid.
  •
  • How whole-genome sequencing is being used in medical settings today.
  •
  • The vital role that genetic education plays when considering the ramifications of whole-genome sequencing and its impact on biomedical research and care delivery.
  •
  • Ethical considerations regarding clinical whole-genome sequencing.
  •
  • What the future has in store with respect to genomics-based healthcare.
Full registration includes:
checkmark Attendance to the symposium.
checkmark Your whole-genome sequenced in a CLIA-certified, CAP-accredited laboratory.
checkmark Technical interpretation of your genome across more than 1,200 medical conditions and response to 16 different drugs using the Clinical Interpretation Gene List and Pharmacogenomics Gene List.
checkmark Access to explore your genome in the MyGenome web application. This unique portal offers educational resources on whole-genome sequencing, as well as a forum to engage in discussions with other Understand Your Genome alumni.
Cost: $1,900 USD per attendee

UYG COMMUNITY
During the UYG symposium, you will explore your genome using the MyGenome web application. MyGenome enables unprecedented access and insight to your genomic information by allowing you to tour the landscape of your chromosomes and see how genetic variants in different locations translate into health impacts or biological traits.
To access the MyGenome web application on the UYG Community website, create an account by clicking here. Once you have registered, you will be able to explore the demo genome and familiarize yourself with the application, stay up to date with the latest ways in which genomics is changing the future of healthcare, and connect with other UYG alumni.

TruGenome Clinical Sequencing Services is performed in the Illumina CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvements Amendment)-certified and CAP (College of American Pathologists)-accredited Clinical Services Laboratory. The TruGenome Sequence information is generated by licensed personnel using an analytically validated process. Consistent with Laboratory Developed Tests, it has not been cleared or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
This genome sequence information can be analyzed to potentially aid physicians in the evaluation of a broad range of health conditions or physiological traits. Patients will not receive medical results, or a diagnosis, or a recommendation for treatment from Illumina. Any results arising from the analysis of genome sequence information that might be deemed medically actionable should be confirmed using alternative testing. If any questions or concerns arise about what is learned through the genome sequence information, patients should contact their physician or a genetic counselor. Currently Illumina does not accept orders for TruGenome Clinical Sequencing Services from New York.
